Waldo's Friends – Website Revamp

Waldo's Friends is a non-profit organization advocating for animal rescues. What started as an online shop to support their cause eventually evolved into a great resource when it comes to adoption and caring for animals.

I helped design the new site to communicate that they are now not just an e-commerce store but a site where people can find helpful stuff on how to care for rescues, read up on inspirational stories, and support the advocacy. The client also wanted to improve the website’s vibe and make it look fun.

The old site was running on WordPress and already has loads of content. To make sure we’re getting the information architecture correct and showing the right content at the right places, I did wireframes for a start. We had a couple of revisions before arriving at the perfect colors to implement on the pages. It was worth it though especially as soon as we had the custom illustrations put in. (I also worked with another designer and illustrator for this project.)
